Who are we and what can we do for you?
Season’s greetings!
For Wrigley Landon Properties it has been a busy year, as I’m sure it has been for you. We have undertaken many and various works over the year and through the seasons and extreme weather.
During the spring we worked on a house renovation in Fulham and one in Chiswick. Both of these we fully gutted and rebuilt with rear extensions on them. In Southwark we worked on a Museum renovating the interior and improving its lighting and heating systems. We also continued providing our maintenance, handyman, and plumbing services as we do throughout the year.
In the summer we were extremely busy taking advantage of the good weather to carry out many outdoor full block renovations doing roofing work and façade repairs in Chelsea, Kensington, Fulham, Clapham and Camden. Alongside these outdoor jobs our rope access skills were put to good use, abseiling to reach areas with difficult accessibility.
Throughout the autumn we did more internal renovations of a house in Putney and returned to a house in Chelsea to finish its interior. We also carried out a big loft conversion project.
Entering the winter months we are focusing on more internal works such as a fire door revamp in Notting Hill and a full internal high specification painting and electrical project in Regent’s Park. We also worked on a flat in Battersea and a flat in Brook Green.
As you can tell, very varied works, our business model is to stay flexible and to work to the needs of our clients. This does however raise the question, what does WLP LTD. Do?

Over the summer we carried out a complicated project in the heart of Chelsea working on the exterior of a building, coming across many challenges and finding successful solutions for them.

“We found Henry Landon and his team because the house behind ours was having outside work done and we watched the whole process being executed so well, we thought we’d give them a call. And I have to say, it was literally one of the best calls we’ve ever made.
We needed scaffolding putting up all around the back of the house, for repointing as well as repairing and repainting all of the window sills and some of the actual window frames. No work had been done on the building for many years. Once the scaffolding was up, Henry took me around it to show what work needed to be done. He also went up on to the roof to find that we urgently needed areas to be rendered, broken bricks and tiles to be replaced, as well as parts of the chimney breasts and neighbouring wall that needed complicated rod and anchor fittings to secure them. He consistently provided us with videos of all the work that needed doing, so that we knew exactly why it was necessary and how it would be completed. Without it, we would have ended up with very bad water ingress.
He also abseiled down the gable end of the house to spray brick sealant to that entire wall, having noticed areas of possible damp. We needed new down pipes and hoppers to enable better flow of rain water at the back of the house. Something we wouldn’t have known we needed, but once Henry showed us the problem, clearly we did. At all times, he sent through estimates for each section of work, all of which were very reasonable, and there was no pressure from him to do anything, but the essential work was always highlighted.
We also wanted a new deck fitting on our roof terrace, which needed a new resin and fiberglass roofing system to prevent any leaks. And it was Henry who found the decking and the trellis to go around the terrace and fitted it all. The whole thing was beautifully done.
His work team were an absolute pleasure to have around, consistently punctual, incredibly professional and their workmanship was of the highest standard. But what really stood out was Henry’s extensive knowledge, resourcefulness and creativity – he had fantastic suggestions and solutions for so many things including sourcing decking, outdoor light fittings and trellis, moving a tap on the terrace and more. But more importantly, he knew exactly what we needed doing to the exterior of our house once the scaffolding was up, clearly explaining each issue, what was essential, what could be left, and how to resolve any problems. Nothing was ever too much trouble, he always found a solution, no matter the challenge. The work was finished in very good time, the house looks great, and I can honestly say that in the future, we will only use Wrigley Landon, be it for the exterior or the interior of our house.
